One of the youngest female CEO’s in legal tech, Jennifer Hart is leading the innovation charge. Her company, Connective Counsel, was a recent finalist of startup alley at the 2019 American Bar Association Techshow. Connective Counsel creates cutting-edge software that connects clients and law firms, including a client-facing mobile app. Jennifer uses the lessons she learned as a practicing attorney to find new ways to leverage technology which eliminate common client and attorney pain points. These include automated client connectivity and new approaches to document automation, legal timeline communication, loan origination and management, as well as data organization. The software speeds up what slows business down.
Before leaving the practice of law to delve into legal technology full time, Jennifer was part of the KJK team that created Cleveland’s winning bid to host the 2016 Republican National Convention. The team negotiated $16 million in convention-related hotel and venue contracts and $50 million in service contracts. While practicing, Jennifer focused on intellectual property and data security cases. She worked closely with clients to secure services agreements and access tax credits for clients to fuel Cleveland’s economic development.
Jennifer is a member of the Executive Committee of the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission Associate Board, a board member of the Princeton Association of Northern Ohio, as well as the co-chair of the Legal Consortium sub-node of Blockland. She also founded the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association’s Legal Technology Committee in 2015. She holds an undergraduate degree in chemistry from Princeton and earned her law degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.
Outside of her work with Connective Counsel and KJK, Jennifer enjoys boxing, yoga, surfing, and keeping up to date with science and technology journals.
