OVERVIEW & EXPERIENCE
Tiffany L. Carwile is a partner at KJK whose practice centers on commercial litigation, with a particular focus on appellate advocacy, employment disputes, class and collective actions, and complex civil litigation in both state and federal courts. She brings more than 15 years of litigation experience to her clients, combining a deep command of procedural strategy with a track record of success at the trial and appellate levels.
Tiffany advises and represents employers, businesses, and individuals across a broad range of employment and commercial matters, including workplace discrimination and harassment claims, wage and hour disputes, FMLA and ADA compliance, non-compete and trade secret litigation, intellectual property claims, and complex contract and business disputes. She has particular depth in appellate advocacy, having successfully argued cases in front of the Ohio Supreme Court, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals, along with successfully defending against certiorari petitions in the Supreme Court of the United States. She further has significant experience in class certification defense and collective action management under the FLSA, guiding clients through the full lifecycle of representative litigation — from early motion practice and conditional certification through decertification, dispositive motions, and trial. Her clients include regional and national businesses, financial institutions, professional service firms, public entities, and individuals.
Before joining KJK, Tiffany was a litigator at Arnold & Clifford LLC, focusing primarily on business disputes, employment claims, and intellectual property cases. Additionally, she spent over a decade in public service, including as an Assistant Attorney General in the Constitutional Offices Section of the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, where she represented Ohio’s highest elected officials — including the Governor, Attorney General, and Secretary of State — as well as state agencies including the Ohio Elections Commission and the Ohio Department of Health. In that role, she litigated complex constitutional and statutory matters before the Ohio courts of appeals, the Ohio Supreme Court, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, securing significant victories on First Amendment, Equal Protection, Due Process, and governmental immunity grounds. She also served as a staff attorney with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, deepening her appellate expertise across a wide range of civil matters.
