OVERVIEW & EXPERIENCE
Anna Bullock plays a pivotal role in KJK’s Student & Athlete Defense practice group. Her dedication lies in advocating for students and athletes during difficult or uncertain times. With a deep understanding of the laws affecting students, athletics issues, NCAA policies, and applicable regulations, she adeptly guides clients through complex matters related to sports and education.
Anna’s insights into student-related issues have gained recognition from Bloomberg Law. She has also completed speaking engagements presenting student-related legal issues, underscoring her commitment to safeguarding the rights of students and educating her community.
Anna holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology from The Ohio State University, where she graduated magna cum laude, and a Juris Doctorate from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. She is a member of the Ohio Women’s Bar Association and the FDCC Ladder Down Cleveland program.
Anna is a passionate advocate within the Alzheimer’s Association and served as Board Fellow of Central Ohio from 2018 to 2019. She also served as Vice President of the Ohio State chapter of Student Alliance for Prison Reform while working on her undergraduate degree at OSU.
A lifelong sailor, Anna has crewed a tall ship on Lake Michigan and frequently races in the crew of a J-30 sailboat on Lake Erie. Besides sailing, Anna enjoys golf, softball and hiking in the Cleveland Metroparks with her husband and their dog.
Representative Experience
- Represented a university student accused of gender-based harassment and bullying. Following a formal investigation and negotiation, the complaint was withdrawn, and our client’s record was cleared.
- Represented a pre-medical student accused of academic integrity violation through misuse of generative artificial intelligence (ChatGPT). The outcome of the case would affect the student’s medical school applications. After a hearing, our client was found not responsible for the alleged violation.
- Represented a professor at a state university accused of retaliation and discrimination. Following an investigation, all charges of discrimination and retaliation were dismissed.
