KJK Partner Erika Apelis Elected to National Association of Women Business Owners Board

KJK is pleased to announce that Partner Erika Apelis has been elected to serve on the board of directors for NAWBO Cleveland (The National Association of Women Business Owners). Erika will take on the role of Director of Programming for her two-year term, which begins in June. Her duties will include planning and delivering content to members and overseeing and coordinating special events.

NAWBO is a national advocacy organization dedicated to supporting and advancing women entrepreneurs. With more than 50 chapters across the country, NAWBO provides powerful networking opportunities while aiming to influence opinion makers and transform public policy for the benefit of women in business.

In her role at KJK, Erika plays an integral role in the firm’s Estate, Wealth & Succession Planning practice group, with a focus in Elder Law. In addition to serving on the board for NAWBO, Erika is a member of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys and Elderly Advocates, which provides advocacy and outreach for seniors and their families dealing with health care issues or long-term care. She is also a volunteer with Give! Chagrin Valley Women’s League.
