KJK’s Laura Englehart Named to Bridge Builders Class of 2018

bridge buildersKJK is proud to announce that Associate Laura Englehart has been named to the 2018 class of Cleveland Bridge Builders, a civic leadership development program of the Cleveland Leadership Center that brings together outstanding mid-career professionals from the nonprofit, corporate, civic and public sectors. Over the course of 10 months, Laura will work collaboratively and in small groups with other Bridge Builders participants to hone leadership skills and complete a Leadership Action Project geared toward civic improvement.

Laura is a passionate advocate of economic development in Northeast Ohio, and has served as project manager and negotiator of major deals that have brought and retained jobs and investment in the region. This includes her role in the successful revitalization of MidTown’s Victory Center, which became the home of Dealer Tire’s new headquarters, retaining 400 jobs and creating 100 additional jobs. She was also instrumental in the success of the 2016 Republican National Convention, negotiating nearly 300 convention-related contracts and advising the Cleveland 2016 Host Committee. In her other legal work, Laura works on matters related to government relations, real estate transactions and general corporate law.

Laura is a boomerang Clevelander who returned to her hometown after working in Washington, D.C. in the U.S. Senate advancing business and community development across Ohio. She holds a master’s degree in public administration from the Levin College of Urban Affairs at Cleveland State University and a law degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.
