OVERVIEW & EXPERIENCE
Emily is an associate in KJK’s Cleveland office, where she works within the firm’s Labor & Employment group. She routinely assists institutional clients and entrepreneurs with their employment matters including drafting employee and customer agreements, as well as reviewing and advising employee handbooks. Her focus is centered on providing clients practical solutions to mitigate business risk and providing valuable insight both from a legal and a business perspective.
In addition to employment matters, Emily has a depth of experience advising on liquor control and real estate matters. She assisted brewery clients and liquor permit holders in obtaining new permits with the Ohio Division of Liquor Control and represented clients in proceedings before the Ohio Liquor Commission. As an active, licensed real estate agent, Emily also counsels clients in navigating real estate disputes and drafting agreements in real estate transactions.
After spending a number of years as a paralegal at an AmLaw 100 firm in Chicago prior to attending law school, Emily returned to Cleveland after law school and practiced at mid-size regional firms prior to joining KJK. A Chagrin Falls native, Emily resides in Cleveland Heights with her husband, two children and two dogs.
