OVERVIEW & EXPERIENCE

TJ works with businesses, entrepreneurs, and leadership teams to address complex disputes, evaluate risk, and determine practical next steps for resolution. As an associate in KJK’s Litigation practice group, he represents clients in a broad range of commercial matters in state and federal courts, including disputes involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duties, fraud, intellectual property, employment, real estate, and construction-related claims. His experience includes drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery materials, and participating in court proceedings and depositions. He also regularly leads pre-litigation negotiations, litigation strategy, and case management throughout the life of a matter. TJ provides business-focused guidance aligned with his clients’ legal and operational objectives, with a focus on resolving matters efficiently and effectively.

In addition to his litigation practice, TJ works with attorneys across the firm’s practice groups on matters that extend beyond litigation and involve broader business considerations.  He regularly works with business owners and leadership teams as a trusted point of contact, addressing issues as they arise and providing guidance on next steps when matters involve multiple areas of the law. His experience includes advising clients on antitrust concerns, guiding them through competition issues that emerge as their businesses grow and markets evolve.

TJ earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Cleveland State University College of Law and completed his undergraduate studies at Miami University. During his time at Miami, TJ served as the President and Co-Founder of Never Walk Alone, a student organization focused on raising awareness around mental health and supporting students facing personal challenges. During law school, he served as a Judicial Extern with the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio and the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas.

Outside the office, TJ enjoys staying active through fitness, skiing, and golf, and is an enthusiastic supporter of Cleveland’s professional sports teams.
