OVERVIEW & EXPERIENCE
David Ebersole is a Partner and the Director of Economic Development and Incentives with KJK. In this role, he works with governments, developers, and businesses to structure development finance programs, secure tax incentives, and navigate regulatory frameworks to deliver transformative real estate and infrastructure projects. He is deeply familiar with local, state, and federal incentive programs, including TIF, tax credits, and financing opportunities.
David has nearly two decades of experience in economic development and public-private partnerships, with a deep familiarity with the use of tax credits, tax increment financing, brownfield redevelopment, and federal financing tools. Prior to joining KJK, David served as Vice President – Development Finance of Greater Cleveland Partnership, where he provided support throughout Cleveland’s economic development system to advance major development projects. From 2017 to 2022, David served as the City of Cleveland’s Director of Economic Development as a member of Mayor Frank G. Jackson’s Cabinet, where he led the deployment of over $160 million in economic development support to leverage over $2.5 billion in private investment. David played a key role in negotiating financing assistance for the Sherwin Williams Headquarters and multiple phases of the Flats East Bank project. He was also a leader in the redevelopment of the Health Tech and Opportunity Corridors, assembling and remediating brownfield sites to support development, where thousands of jobs have been created.
