Daniel Walsh is an associate in KJK’s Litigation & Arbitration and Labor & Employment practice groups. Daniel helps clients navigate complex legal issues with a practical, solutions‑oriented mindset. He is committed to transparency and open communication, ensuring clients understand the strategy, risks, and potential outcomes at every stage of their matter. Known for being responsive and straightforward, Daniel prioritizes delivering clear guidance and pragmatic advice tailored to each client’s realities and goals.
He earned his Bachelor of Science from The Ohio State University. Daniel earned his Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School, where he graduated fourth in his class with summa cum laude honors and was a seven-time recipient of the CALI Excellence for the Future Award.
Before joining KJK, Daniel worked as a law clerk at two Columbus law firms. He served as a volunteer judge with the American Moot Court Association at Capital University Law School. Additionally, Daniel was the founder of Buckeyes Assemble which was a social and service student organization at The Ohio State University. He also volunteered with A Moment of Magic, where he visited terminally ill children in hospitals, clinics, and homes as a volunteer character, helping to improve their quality of life through social wellness activities.
Outside of the office, Daniel enjoys playing pickleball, rooting for Boston sports teams, and spending time with friends and family.
Representative Experience
- Defended a multinational corporation in a class action lawsuit and helped secure a favorable settlement for the client.
- Negotiated a settlement exceeding $4 million for a client in a commercial lease dispute.
- Represented a high-ranking business leader in a non-competition action and ultimately eliminated any exposure for the client.
- Represented a joint owner in a partition action involving more than $6.5 million in assets and negotiated a settlement that achieved a favorable outcome for the client.
- Defended a client in a breach of contract case involving complex issues related to the Employee Retention Credit tax refund program, reducing the client’s liability by more than 90%.
- Represented a client in a shareholder dispute and secured dismissal of all claims against the client.
- Served as counsel in a lawsuit pertaining to a breach of a purchase agreement for an insurance agency and prevailed on summary judgment.
- Defended a landlord in a dog attack case and obtained dismissal of the action.
