OVERVIEW & EXPERIENCE

Valerie is a paralegal and licensed online notary with over 20 years combined experience as a legal assistant and paralegal.  In her role as a paralegal for KJK she provides paralegal support to the intellectual property, brand enforcement, corporate and litigation practice groups.  Known for keen attention to detail, Valerie skillfully manages projects, solves problems, ensures thorough document review and is frequently called upon across several practice areas in the firm to provide her experience and expertise.

Valerie has specialized experience with Digital Millennium Copyright Act issues, trademark and copyright applications, infringement matters and maintaining an expansive IP docket.

Prior to joining KJK Valerie worked in diverse litigation practice areas, including but not limited to, secured creditors’ rights, employment, commercial litigation and tort law to name a few.  In addition to this experience Valerie holds an ABA-approved degree in Paralegal Studies.

In her spare time Valerie enjoys trying out new recipes, particularly desserts, reading a new book, listening to music and gardening.
