Hyman to Serve As County Leader in Fight Against Paid Sick Leave
Partner Jon Hyman will serve as the Cuyahoga County Leader for Ohioans to Protect Jobs and Fair Benefits, a grassroots campaign organized to oppose the Ohio Healthy Families Act. The Ohio Healthy Families Act is a union-backed mandated sick leave proposal that will almost certainly appear as a ballot initiative in November. If passed, it will guarantee all employees working for companies with 25 or more employees 7 paid sick days per year. In addition to creating added legal and administrative burdens for Ohio companies, Ohioans to Protect Jobs and Fair Benefits believe this will be a job killer for Ohio, as Ohio will become the only state that will guarantee paid sick leave.
